At New Forest Family Butchers, we're more than a butcher shop – we are cornerstones of our communities, where tradition, quality, and service come together to create an experience that's truly exceptional. We are passionate about serving the finest quality, locally farmed meat. Our stores also stock a wide selection of other produce.
We have daily deliveries of fresh, local produce and pride ourselves on the highest quality meats, reared by British farmers who work to ensure animal welfare and traditional free-range farming methods. We ensure you always get the best meat you can buy, prepared to order and packed carefully by hand.
As well as fresh, locally sourced meat, we sell pies, pasties and pork pies, eggs, scotch eggs, cheeses, cooked ham, local honey, condiments and cakes. At Lyndhurst we also stock fresh, local fruit and vegetables.
Not sure what to give someone as a gift? Give them a gift voucher and let them choose from our premium selection of meats and other products in any of our shops. Vouchers can either be posted to you with a gift envelope and a small additional postage charge or emailed.
At New Forest Family Butchers, each member brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to the table. Here's some of the faces behind the counter:
Son of a pig farmer, Chris began his butchery journey at 16 in Romsey. Progressing from tea boy to apprentice to butcher he immersed himself in the trade over the next twelve years before opening his first shop in West Wellow in 2020. Raised in Romsey and a former rugby player Chris has always been passionate about the origins of his food and is now a dedicated cook and BBQ enthusiast.
With over two decades of experience in Hampshire, Dan is the embodiment of butchery expertise. A staunch advocate for sourcing locally and understanding every facet of the animal, he sees butchery as more than just a trade - it's an artform. Known for his Yorkshire tea addiction, Dan's passion for his craft shines through in his meticulous displays and demonstrations.
While Ellie may not have a background in butchery, her impact on the business is undeniable. A current member of the Great Britain Powerlifting team, she brings a unique blend of strength and determination to the table. Balancing motherhood with her role in the business, Ellie thrives on the challenges of networking and helping Chris steer the ship towards success.
